Titus 3:4-8 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared,he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.
- God's kindness and love isn't his faceless emotion towards us.
- It is a very practical kindness and love made visible when Jesus Christ became man.
- After his death and resurrection His kindness became even more practical: Jesus Christ generously poured out his Spirit so that believers can now rest in the knowledge that they will have an eternity with God.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, you really do love us and are very kind towards us! Thank you so much for your death in our place, and thank you for your Spirit which enables us to now live balanced lives, resting in our eternal hope. Amen
