Matthew 26:39 And going a little farther Jesus fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”
... This is the night before Jesus' crucifixion. As He thinks about the cost of bearing the sins of the world he honestly and openly prays to His Father.
... Are your prayers marked by this kind of honesty and complete surrender to the Father?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I do not easily open up to you. Lead me to that place where I can fall down in complete surrender to you, reverently speak my mind to you and eventually find my rest where Christ found his: knowing that You are good, and your will is perfect for my life. In Jesus' name, Amen
