Jesus said: "Pray then like this: 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name...'" Matthew 6:9
... When starting your prayer, start by praising God.
... Praise God, not firstly for what He has done for you but for who He is for you: an intimate, approachable Father who is working all things for the good of his children (Rom 8:28).
... Now, praise God as the Holy One, Eternal God, Creator of all things. 'Hallow' or revere or respect Him for who He is.
Prayer: My Father God, you are holy, eternal, all-powerfull, all-knowing and yet you are my Father. I do not deserve your affection, but in Jesus Christ's death you directed all of your attributes towards me, for my good. I praise and respect you for who you are and what you have done for me. Amen
