It is not accurate to think 'the gospel' is what saves non-Christians, and then, what matures Christians is trying hard to live according to Biblical principles. It is more accurate to say that we are saved by believing the gospel, and then we are transformed in every part of our mind, heart, and life by believing the gospel more and more deeply as our life goes on.

1. We can beat ourselves up with fear or guilt to do what is right.
2. Or, We can stop trying to do what is right and claim that God doesn't care about how we live.
3. Or, we can believe that Christ has fulfilled all that God requires of us in our place and now call us to believe that it is possible to please God through following him.
Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, please don't stop changing us to be more like you as we try to work out how to live according to the Gospel in every new situation. Amen

Our flyers and posters just arrived for the Carols by Candlelight event on the 12 of December at the Hilton Hotel in Rotherhithe Street. We need people to give them out.
On Sunday we will give people an oppurtunity to contribute towards the event. Please pray about and plan to give financially.
