Hebrews 1:1-3 In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
- If we ever wondered what God would be like if He were a man, we can just look at Jesus Christ.
- The one deed that made it clear what kind of person he is was his sacrificial death which he died in the place of all sinners.
- But, we need to look further than the Jewish man and also see him as the glorious Son of God, now in heaven in radiance and glory from where he runs the universe!
Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, looking at the cross we see what kind of King and Lord you are. You gave us your honour in exchange for our sin and shame. We praise you for who you are and we are thankful that the universe and our lives are in your hands! Amen
