Have you lost the wonder, amazement, even astonishment at the privilege of being a child of God? It is this amazement that believers need to carry them through difficult times. After all, we don't deserve any of the good gifts we have even in the midst of severe suffering. Just listen to John as he admires this 'great love of the Father'.
"See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God" 1 John 3:1

Lord Jesus Christ, it thrills my soul to think that I belong to you. I must admit that I still don't understand the extent of my privilege but as I grasp only a little bit of it, it causes me to worship and adore you even more. Thank you so much for adopting me as your own, at great cost to yourself. Amen
